Class President Learns Cindy Mitchell is a Hypocrite

Cindy Mitchell Criticizes Scott Goold

Cindy Mitchell contacted the Reunion 50 committee a couple weeks ago. Updated her contact information. Class President Scott Goold asked Cindy if she was interested in assisting. Cindy wrote back about a week later. Did not want to be get involved. Cindy claimed the class president was not playing nice with others. Scott Goold respects opinions of everyone; may not agree. The conversation between Cindy Mitchell and Scott Goold is posted here.

Class President responded, "Least said is 'least mended.' Seems you are saying those who say the least mend the least."

"How do I want to be remembered? My Japanese Buddhist friends call me a Warrior Buddha. I’m happy with that remembrance. 🙏🏽"

To DEFEAT a bully, one must use the tactics of the bully. You say the commentary on the website made you sick. How do you think it made me feel to be treated by classmates as they did? I simply REPORTED their behavior. Was looking forward to attending the 5th, but received a pro contract to play basketball outside USA. Wasn’t in the country to attend.

Didn't attend any since ... why? I’m not a person who likes to “meet & greet” Friday around alcohol and have a two-hour sit down dinner on Saturday. I prefer to really get reacquainted with people. Would cost our family $3,000+ to attend a reunion. Other classmates don’t attend for the same reason.

That’s why WE proposed a more elaborate reunion. The bullies shut down the proposal. That’s what I reported on the website. Other classes around the nation do much more for their 50th — we’re 65+. Not full-time employed, have money and time. They really have fun. The bullies demanded the old format.

Thanks for recommending the Ruiz book. I’m familiar. My word is impeccable. Didn’t take anything personal. Didn’t make assumptions; and I always give my best — right or wrong. My fight against the bullies wasn’t for me ... but for the Class of 1975.

You believe "you can't fight violence with violence.” Kind of naive! Some people make that claim … how then is the genocide in Gaza or Ukraine occurring? You maybe forget WWII. We are Boomers, children of the Greatest Generation. They defeated the violence of Nazis with violence. We live in an evil world.

As a SPED teacher, public school teacher, I also expressed NO PUT DOWNS. I was the TEACHER. I was in charge. Had authority to set expectations and control behavior — I was the Benevolent King (LOL). Treated students firmly but with kindness and respect, and expected kindness and respect in return. However, there is NO authority in this situation. As classmates, we are equals. I first wrote letters to members, which you can read on the website. Then reached out to HHS Principle Dr. Brad Wallace. He had no authority to intervene. Then contacted Pocatello police. They have no authority. Contacted Facebook … they ruled against Jeff Waldron and forced him to end his sordid behavior. Also contact Chubbuck police. They have no authority.

Thus, I stood ALONE against a group of bullies. You claim “Chump gave everyone permission to be bullies.” IDAHO is Trump Country. The nation elected him president. After Biden’s performance last night, it’s likely Don will be re-elected. That’s my point. We live in a time where people speak quite harshly to each other. I simply play by the rules of the game.

It’s June 28th ... where were YOU in April when this battle began? I came with sugar. They pushed me out April 22nd. Bully me … and, yes, bullies will get vinegar.

You asked a great question: how do I want to be remembered? Hopefully, like one of my role models: former US Congressman John Lewis, the great civil rights leader. See Something; Say Something … and don’t be afraid to get in GOOD TROUBLE !!! The civil rights movement taught us that we generally have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.

I’m also a fan of Albert. Love your quote: "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything."

YEP !!! He’s right. I live his words. I don’t watch and do nothing around evil. I stand up to bullies. You’re a great person. You however did nothing. I had to stand alone.

Thanks again for your feedback. 🌺

Good luck with being a bully. I read the website and it made me sick. When was the last time you went to any class reunion anyway, Scott? I certainly don't remember ever seeing you.

Maybe you should take the time to read the book called: The Four Agreements, A Toltec Wisdom Book" by Don Miguel Ruiz
1st Agreement- Be Impeccable with Your Word
2nd Agreement-Don't Take Anything Personally
3rd- Don't Make Assumptions
4th- Always Do Your Best.

I believe you can't fight violence with violence andI always expressed to students NO PUT DOWNS, lead by example. Talking civilly and with kindness means more cooperation. In other words you can't catch flies with vinegar.

Chump gave everyone permission to be bullies [NOTE: this is a PUT DOWN], now they are coming out of the woodwork! I'm just letting you know your website has created nothing positive about the 50 year reunion, only division. Words are feathers in the wind.

Aloha Cindy ~
Nice to hear from you. Congratulations being a SPED teacher. Also served the special needs community for decades. Appreciate the feedback. You’re not helping me. You help other classmates. I’m simply REPORTING the behavior of our initial attempts. Our current world is quite messy, and we have normalized being mean to each other. Didn’t watch the debate last night, but even at the highest levels of government, people speak quite harshly to each other. I simply play by the rules of the game.

For decades, I took on powerful people. Learned how to push back against corporate bullies — people paid to lie and destroy others. Don’t tolerate anyone bullying me or my SPED students; and am quite effective putting bullies in their place. Many readers find these battles to be uncomfortable or undignified. War — violent war of military or political battles over policy — are ugly. I made every possible attempt to reach compromise and resolution before exposing their sordid behavior. Entire history is documented on the website.

Wish you, as we say in Hawai’i, Aloha Friday. Thanks for commenting.

Cindy Mitchell Proves to be Hypocrite

Class President responded, "LOL ... Mr. Goold? If you’re being formal, Dr. Goold is preferred. 🤣"

"You don’t take things personally ... YOU JUST DID !!! 🤪"

"Peace OUT! That’s a passive aggressive response when one doesn’t really wish another peace. 😪"

"I will add our thread of conversation to the website history. You criticized me. I replied with respect and sugar. You proved to be a hypocrite and concluded with anger and hostility."

"Thank you for your time! 💋"

[AUTHOR NOTE] Cindy wrote, "I believe you can't fight violence with violence ..." Cindy is such a girl. Scott wrote previously how Title IX, passed 1972, privileged girls in America. White boys and men were told to step to the back of the bus, as American politicians attempted to right generations of perceived lack of opportunity for women and minorities. 50-Years of Title IX policies explain the rise of Donald J. Trump, who stands up for White men.

When Scott entered AJHS, he and other boys became aware of the Selective Service requirement ... The Draft. Vietnam was raging. The nation held an annual Powerball ... based on the boy's birthday. The lottery determined their rank in the upcoming draft. Changed every year.

No way for a boy to know what the nation would require of him in just a few years. Scott had to prepare. His father was a combat Veteran; grandfather combat Veteran, Purple Heart recipient.

Scott's great grandfather, Robert A. Lower, of the "Fighting Illini" 55th infantry division, Home of Lincoln, was awarded the Medal of Honor at 18: as a Union soldier leading the charge to FREE Black slaves at the Siege of Vicksburg.

Scott Goold Grandfather Pvt. Robert A. Lower :: Medal of Honor Recipient :: 1863

Pvt. Robert A. Lower :: Medal of Honor Recipient

Boys from rural areas, such as Idaho, were most likely to serve. They were more patriotic than city slickers with their "liberal" and no-violence attitudes. Scott's classmates didn't know that Scott went through military testing and training. Scott's father coached Scott in basketball and possible military service, "Don't go to Vietnam as an enlisted man. You have the ability to be an officer."

Scott earned a 4.0 GPA, strong in math, physics and science; All-American athletic honors and set HHS scoring record. Scott was also Class President. Just what US military academies sought. Idaho's U.S. Senator, Honorable Frank Church, appointed Scott to any academy he wanted: Army, Navy or Air Force. Scott wanted to fly. If sent to Vietnam, Scott would be Top Gun piloting F-4s.

Scott passed all requirements. Air Force Academy brought Scott to campus in Colorado Springs. They recruited Scott for military service but also to play basketball. Scott informed Academy officials he wanted to fly. At the Academy, they put Scott through some preliminary flight tests ... Scott passed ALL but one.

Scott was Too Tall (too long-legged actually) for the F-4. Washed out! Scott declined military service. Vietnam was winding down in 1975. Scott accepted a basketball scholarshp at ISU.

Cindy Mitchell and girls had no idea the fear the draft caused young boys. Girls had privilege. Boys could be fighting in a rice paddy 6,000 miles from home. Scott knew boys who went. Some came home missing an arm or leg. Some came home in a flag-draped box. Cindy opposes violence. Boys didn't have such privilege.

CHUMP ??? That’s a PUT DOWN. Makes you a hypocrite. You could have stated, “The former President of the USA gave everyone ...”

BUT NO, you used a PUT DOWN — your example of leadership is just like everyone else at this time. I’m just a professional. People aren’t smart to bully me. 😘"
