Ann Jesse Driever resigned the chair role with the initial 50th reunion planning committee on May 22, 2024. Jeff Waldron contacted Class President Scott Goold, May 23, 2024. As representative of the group. Jeff informed Scott the committee had met the previous night and voted to step down. Roy Allen, Treasurer, confirmed the resignations. Roy informed Scott Goold that Ann Jesse Driever would forward the Class of 1975 funds: $1,525.98. As of June 14, 2024, Ann refuses to honor her word.
Roy Allen texted to Scott Goold, May 25, 2024:
Hi Scott, I met with Ann yesterday and asked her to forward the class funds to you so that you can carry on with your efforts towards the class reunion. She said that she would and you should receive those funds soon. Roy
As Class President, Scott Goold accepted the resignations. As Class President, Scott Goold assumed Reunion 50 chair, May 23, 2024. Prior to the five-year reunion, Scott Goold met with Suzanne Price and a couple other classmates to begin preparation for the traditional event.
Scott was departing the USA to play professional basketball and transferred the "keys to the kingdom" to Suzanne so she could chair the 5th reunion committee. Suzanne did an excellent job.
Suzanne Price was unavailable for this reunion. Ann Jesse Driever graciously stepped up to begin discussions. Unfortunately, Ann is not tech savvy. She did not begin a needed website for the reunion committee; didn't know anything about the Class of 75 Facebook page; and was unable to set up a FaceTime or Zoom meeting.
Ann Jesse Driever (April 10, 2024), I have made a thread of people who have shown interest in the 50 year reunion. I hate to do threads but spent half the night last night doing it for individually. When would be a good time to get together to toss suggestions around?? My house is open to meet. Maybe we can figure out how to do a zoom with the people out of town. Let me know. Thanks. PS. Just think we would get a date and a venue as they will go fast with so many more classes with reunions.
Jeff Waldron, Ann, how about a FaceTime? will be more than happy to meet somewhere in Pocatello or at your home. And FaceTime the out of town class mates?
Ann Jesse Driever, If someone's FaceTime gets hacked like mine did it's aShit show.
Scott Goold, I can set up Zoom if needed.
Ann Jesse Driever, Will need that help. I'm not tech savvy. I'll let you know what day and when.
Class President Scott Goold to Ann Jesse Driever:
June 13, 2024
Rumor is YOU still claim to be chair. You cannot be chair. You resigned; entire committee resigned May 22, 2024. Jeff Waldron informed me May 23, 2024. Roy Allen confirmed. As class president, I stepped up to fill the void on May 23, 2024. You were asked to transfer Class of 1975 funds.
Had you however NOT resigned, you had the duty to SPEAK UP immediately. You did not say a word. You had many opportunities to speak up, correct the record. You did not. Instead, you have refused to communicate; you have blocked communication. And, this last Sunday, you had an opportunity to speak up — you stated clearly: “Nothing to say.”
Let me remind you of our April 10th meeting, our initial meeting. I spoke about the website. You responded:
"It's over my head. I just delivered packages for 33 years. Let me know what to do. About time to pass the torch.”
I was clear: “In my opinion, nobody should pass ANY torches. Seems you have an excellent committee in place. Jeff asked if I wanted to chair. That would be inappropriate. Y'all have done the heavy lifting all these years. I prefer a seat at the table while someone else chairs. Seriously PROUD of all of you for the work you have done. You have kept the LIGHTS on Class of 75. You are all truly amazing and I can't wait to see all of you again.”
You answered, “Sounds good. Thanks Scott. We of ancient technology are at your services. No toes stepped on. Mahalo.”
I did not seek power. You however did not invite me to the May 22nd meeting. You should have. I believe you were too afraid to have an adult, professional conversation with me. I don’t therefore know what happened or was said. I can only go by what Jeff and Roy confirmed.
You do not have the leadership skills to chair this group. Leaders CANNOT block people and refuse to speak to people. Now, I supported you. I did not ask you to resign or anyone to resign. Y’all did. I stepped up.
At this time, I need you to RESPECT classmates and Class of 1975. I am the chair. I invited ALL of you to team with me. I lead differently than you Give me MY chance now. Had you notified me that you would transfer funds on May 23rd; had Jeff transferred the Facebook page; had Susan forwarded the most-recently updated classmate roster, none of this unpleasantness would have happened. The Reunion 50 committee would be moving forward; not fighting old battles.
You must accept that YOUR SILENCE, refusal to communicate and action to block rather than seek compromise caused ALL this negativity. I FIGHT for the classmates. Don’t care how they vote; up to them. I do however demand that they vote. The methodology used for the 40th will not work for an advanced vote about reunion format.
Please RESPECT me now. I respected you when you held the leadership position. I have NOT respected your behavior after May 23rd. There was no need for this conflict.
Thank you!
Ann Jesse Driever shows how Idaho changed over 50 years. The Gem State used to be a place where a "man's word was his bond." Men said what they meant and meant what they said. Then government made society promote unqualified women to positions of leadership. No honor. No more.
For an unknown reason, Ann Jesse Driever works to ensure Reunion 50 committee fails their mission to allow classmates to vote. We are doing the best we can to recover Class of 1975 funds and property. We unfortunately are compelled to share this negative behavior. Your 50th reunion is priceless. We only get one shot at this opportunity.
Ann Jesse Driever resigned the planning committee on May 22, 2024. Class President, Scott Goold, assumed chair role the next day. Ann now bullies classmates, refuses to transfer nearly $1600.00 in class funds to the Reunion 50 committee.
There are many ways to bully others. Some include:
Traditionally, men are more likely to engage in physical forms of bullying. They use their larger size and strength to dominate others. Women use other means. Women will socially bully by ostracizing a "new girl" or verbally abuse from a distance. Some Mormons at Highland High School bullied others due to their religion. LDS Mormons who served on the initial planning group use this tactic now.
In this case, Ann Jesse Driever has used a number of bullying tactics. She is stealing property from the Class of 1975. Ann Jesse Driever is social bullying by refusing to communicate with Scott Goold, a classmate of 1975. Ann blocked Scott Good from her social media page on Facebook, for example.
Ann Jesse Driever appears to have instructed her daughter, Nicole Driever Nelson Shutes, to also block Scott Goold on social media. Nicole is a mommy of 3, and 1 angel baby, and Domestic Violence Victim Advocate at Family Services Alliance. Scott had reached out to Nicole, as Scott hoped Nicole would use her professional skills to help resolve this conflict. Blocking people on social media is a form of violence and bullying.
Ann Jesse Driever also defies Scott Goold, Class President, by refusing to transfer the Class of 1975 funds to the Reunion 50 committee, which Scott chairs. Scott had been supportive of Ann when she served as chair. Ann has engaged in bullying, unprofessional behavior and refused to extend common courtesy.
Ann Jesse Driever responded to the Class President's request to end this hostility, Sunday, June 9th, "The most joyful human being"
Scott Goold responded, "Yay!!! So happy to finally hear from you. Maybe we can get this tension resolved"
Ann Jesse Driever had no intention of acting professionally, behaving like a "committee chair" or ending the conflict. Ann appears to take pleasure in hurting the classmates of the Class of 1975, and bullying Scott Goold.
Ann Jesse Driever, "So sorry to everyone. I was outside putting up my swimming pool and must have bumm dialed the whole committee. Nothing to say. Sorry again. Have a good day."
NOTHING TO SAY, said the bully. Ann Jesse Driever has become an ugly, spiteful and egotistical old woman. We all miss Jimmy Driever — such a kind, caring human being. Jimmy's light has now been extinguished in Ann.
Kathie Williams Chase joined her sadistic friend bullying and hurting others, "Haha! Enjoy the pool."
Scott Goold remembers Kathie Williams Chase when they were friends in high school. Kathie was sweet and kind. Scott uses medical cannabis for his pain. Kathie Williams Chase shamed Scott years ago, engaged in religious bullying, as Kathie and her Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did not approve of patients using cannabis. Mormons like Kathie Williams Chase are so unlike Jesus.
